Top 10 Lucifer filming locations

Lucifer king of the underworld, protector of Los Angeles…

The Devil decided to take a vacation and set up shop as a nightclub owner in Los Angeles. By a curious set of circumstances, he becomes a consultant for the police with Lieutenant Chloe Decker. Adapted from the comics of Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg, the series was first produced by Fox for three seasons. due to bad media reviews and low ratings, the series was cancelled. Netflix decides in 2018 to take over for a fourth season. A few days ago, the streaming giant announced its fifth and final season. While waiting for these last episodes to air, here is our top 10.

1- Le Lux – Various locations in Los Angeles (USA)

Of course, besides probably dressing in Prada, the Devil likes to party. And it is a nightclub that he chooses to acquire to spend most of his time there, at least before the lieutenant’s arrival. To represent this place of debauchery, El Capitan Theatre illustrates the entrance, The Emerson Theatre is used for the interior in the pilot and the Sunset Tower Hotel is used for aerial views of the building. Three places in one, one shot of “Lux”.

2- The police station – Various locations in Los Angeles (USA)

As with the Lux, the precinct uses multiple locations. First of all the Burnaby City Hall, in front of which Chloe and Dan are talking, a building also used in Flash, Stargate SG-1, Psych, Eureka and DC Legend’s of Tomorrow. For aerial views, the former headquarters of the Los Angeles Police Department, Parker Center, is shown on the screen.

3- Griffith Observatory – Los Angeles (USA)

alternative earth special episode. God is the narrator and explains to us how some people, despite all his efforts, still meet each other. Chloe and Lucifer are one of those people. While Chloe, an actress in crime films, decides to investigate the murder of one of her colleagues in Lucifer’s nightclub, the two companions of misfortune find themselves on one of the fictional film sets at the Griffith Observatory. MacGyver, NCIS: Los Angeles, Alias, Jurassic Park, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, La La Land and many others set up their cameras in front of this building. A perfect place to watch the “stars”.

4- Dorris Place Elementary School – Los Angeles (USA)

Chloe and Dan had an adorable little girl together named Trixie, a Lucifer lover in a good way. In the pilot, the opportunity is given to see his school, Dorris Place Elementary School.

5- Lucifer’s Arrival Beach – Long Beach (USA)

Once Lucifer decided to stay on Earth, he communicated his decision to Amenadiel on this Long Beach. It is also in the same place that his faithful demon, Maze, cuts off his wings for the first time. And you never forget your first time.

6- The Westin Bayshore Hotel – Vancouver (Canada)

That name probably doesn’t mean anything to you, but you’ve probably seen this building before. In Lucifer, it is used for the office of the therapist Bernard Shaw, but also to figure the casino La Marida in a special investigation of Lucifer and Ella in Las Vegas. In Arrow it is the Merlyn Global building, in Supergirl the National City Hall and the Gordon Mark Hotel in Psych. An eclectic place all in all.

7- Grouse Mountain Lodge – North Vancouver (Canada)

Direction Canada. Maze is in the midst of searching for a very clever fugitive who has taken refuge in a beautiful cottage in Canada. The scenes were shot north of Vancouver, at Grouse Mountain Lodge to be precise. For the first time in the show, the neighbouring country of the United States is featured.

8- Six Flags Magic Mountain – Valencia (USA)

Lucifer’s in the middle of an investigation with Dan, a.k.a. Lieutenant Asshole. In spite of himself, Dan climbs into a gondola and takes a ride on the scary Viper roller coaster. The images are sensational and the policeman’s head is epic. So much so that Lucifer decides to post it in the police station, literally and metaphorically. The same amusement park is used in Glee, the A-Team, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NCIS and Castle.

9- Gerald Smith Church – Rancho Palos Verdes (USA)

The pilot is very rich in splendid filming locations. The Wayfarers Chapel is one of them, used to be the Gerald Smith Church. It’s in this magical place that Lucifer decides to interrupt Jimmy Barnes’ wedding to question him about Delilah’s murder. For better or worse.

10- Rosewood Hotel Georgia – Vancouver (Canada)

Another popular camera location in Vancouver. In Lucifer, it is in this establishment that Chloe infiltrates a party with the help of Charlotte Richards to confuse a mob boss. In Arrow it is the Ballroom Hotel, in iZombie the Koma Grand Hotel and in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the White House.
