Long Beach

“Five years ago, when Maze and I abandoned Hell, I landed right here on this beach. This is where I flipped dear old Dad the grandest of birds. And had Maze sever my wings.”
Lucifer Morningstar
That says it all. Long Beach played host to Lucifer Morningstar during his violent craving for a vacation from the Underworld. As a symbolic gesture, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), his faithful demoness, cuts off his wings and thus frees him from his obligations.
Later, he brings his brother, Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) to confide in him his desire to stay on Earth but also to ask for his help.
But this place also serves as a home, a retreat when he wants to be alone with his thoughts. Or rather when he fights his demons.
November 1978 was a decisive month for the series. Indeed, three of the main character actors were born on that date. Tom Ellis on the 17th, Lauren German on the 29th and Aimee Garcia on the 28th.
Long Beach City Beach
Long Beach City Beach is the city’s main beach. Facing south, it is often referred to as Junipero Beach by locals, due to the location of its main parking lot entrance on Junipero Avenue.
The path on the beach from the parking lot is particularly popular with cyclists and skaters.
Protected from the waves by the breakwater built in the 1940s, surfing is no longer practiced here. It was however a real institution, known as “The Mecca of surfing”.
