Most of the scenes were shot in the studio or outside London (Wayne Manor is the magnificent Hatfield House, located in North London), but the Gotham Globe offices were filmed at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in the Ladies Smoking Room. Dating from 1873, the establishment was closed at the time of the shooting and has since been completely renovated. Today it is a five-star hotel and the Ladies Smoking Room, the first place in Europe where women were allowed to smoke in public and reserved for private events. As for the map of Gotham, annotated by Batman (Michael Keaton) and observed by Vicky Vale (Kim Basinger), it is actually a map of the city of Vancouver.
