Money Heist: Sunbathing or getting back to work?

The kick-off was given on Friday 19 July, Money Heist part 3 is online and has already generated a lot of reactions. In addition to a traditional heist, the series offers an immersion in the life of the companions of “La Resistencia” around the world.

If Nairobi (Alba Flores) and Helsinki (Darko Peric) are in Argentina while The Professor (Álvaro Morte) and Raquel/Lisbon (Itziar Ituño) are basking in Thailand, the couple Denver (Jaime Lorente) – Monica/Stockholm (Esther Acebo) are raising their son Cincinatti in Indonesia. However, Argentina and Indonesia were not part of the film crew’s itinerary, as the shots were taken in Thailand and Panama. Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) and Rio are in perfect harmony on one of the San Blas Islands in Panama. According to Úrsula Corberó, it was the first time that the inhabitants of the archipelago allowed a filming there, only because they were also watching the show. James Cameron himself couldn’t shoot Avatar there!

The symbiosis between Tokyo and Rio will unfortunately break the day Tokyo decides to change air, to party, to let go. Rio will then give him a satellite phone and that’s when the fall starts.

The young man was arrested, put under surveillance by Europol for nearly 2 years, like all the others, and finally spotted. Rio will then be tortured in an unknown country, but he can count on his allies.

Bank of Spain to get Rio out

The robbery crew will then set about doing what they do best, robbing a bank. But not just any institution, the Spanish institution keeping within these walls the National Gold Reserve. Tons of ingots that the criminals will seize to force the authorities to hand over Rio to them.

Of course, the production cameras did not have access to the actual building on Calle de Alcalá in Madrid. Street traffic and the potential risk of actual theft were, of course, taken into account. On the other hand, the building serving as its lining is the Ministry of Equipment located on Paseo de la Castellana in the Spanish capital.

Other places in Madrid are filmed for the show, such as the Plaza del Callao, where a rain of money is poured on the inhabitants and where the Professor, with his face uncovered, calls out to the population for help. In addition, the famous zeppelins transporting 140 million euros in €50 denominations, sneak between the towers of the Cuatro Torres Business Area.

Italy point to the heel of their boot

Spain, Thailand and Panama are not the only countries to have hosted robbers, Italy is also in the spotlight as the Florence Cathedral is the venue for a flashback meeting between Berlin and the Professor.
