If the facade of the fictitious Yarvos bar is indeed that of a Hollywood establishment, namely Boardner’s La Belle, the interior is that of Believe Music Hall, a club in Atlanta focused on DJ residencies and other electro events.
From Atlanta to Hollywood
James Gunn is looking for a festive place to have a drink and dance. Boardner’s La Belle, the Hollywood bar whose facade the production used to create the fictional Yarvos, did not have a satisfactory interior due to the needs of the medium-length film. James Gunn decided to go to Atlanta and rent the Believe Music Hall, a party temple in the Georgian city.
A special project
While it may seem more anecdotal than the other Guardians of the Galaxy films, due to its lighter nature, the Holiday Special nonetheless benefited from James Gunn’s talent. The latter having declared that this project was among his favorites. A way to celebrate Christmas in the company of the Guardians of the Galaxy, around an amusing plot involving the real Kevin Bacon, but also a way to advance the plot of the saga, before the release in 2023 of the third installment. The Holiday Special follows Thor: Love & Thunder in which the Guardians appear.
Kyra Sedgwick, Kevin Babon’s wife, herself an actress, makes a vocal appearance in the film.
Believe Music Hall
This former church offers several spaces and stands out as a party hotspot in Atlanta.
The main stage of the Believe Music Hall benefits from the latest sound technologies. It also features the largest LED wall in all of Atlanta. With several private rooms, a garden, a terrace and a mezzanine, the Believe Music Hall hosts many parties throughout the year.
