Station
It is in this station of New Aquitaine, in La Rochefoucauld, that the father of Vincent Rousseau (Jean-Paul Rouve), Albert (Jacques Boudet) arrives to find his son, director of the colony. As he has no news of him since the beginning of the stay, he decides to come directly to see him on the spot.
If the young man is not very happy with this sudden irruption, quickly the relations are relaxed. It should be noted that Vincent’s father gets along very well with the children of the camp and is a great help when the Youth and Sports inspectors visit.
The TV movie Demain, je me marie, directed by Vincent Giovanni, was also shot in this station in 2010. Today, no more trains serve it.
Nos jours heureux is the second feature film by Olivier Nakache and Eric Tolédano. In their previous film, Je préfère qu’on reste amis… they already directed Jean-Paul Rouve.
Place de la Gare
La gare de La Rochefoucauld is located in the department of Charente.
Put into service in 1875 by the Compagnie des Charentes, this station is no longer served by trains since March 2018. It was located on the line from Limoges-Bénédictins to Angoulême.
This SNCF building was established in this beautiful city of Charente whose symbol is its Renaissance castle built from 1520, nicknamed the Pearl of Angoumois. Visitors can also discover the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption, the Carmelite Convent or the Church of Olérat.
