When IAM arrives on the Jean-Louis Foulquier stage, the audience is heated up. The group sang the first bars of L’école du micro d’argent, before moving on to Nés sous la même étoile, La garde meurt mais ne se rend pas, Samuraï, Chez le mac, L’enfer, Je danse le mia, L’empire du côté obscur, Bad Boys de Marseille and Demain, c’est loin. In total, IAM plays twenty-one songs, accompanied by a symphony orchestra for the greatest joy of the fans.
In an exceptional setting on the Old Port of La Rochelle, while the stones of the monuments offer an incomparable acoustic, the band of Akhenaton and Shurik’n, gives its best to promote the upcoming release of its ninth studio album Yasuke. The opportunity to unveil his new songs but also to treat the public with pure classics. IAM’s concert at the Francofolies de La Rochelle has thus remained in the annals, like all the concerts given by the group in this iconic place.
IAM played twenty-one songs during its performance at the Francofolies in 2019.

Ideally placed, the Jean-Louis Foulquier stage is one of the main ones of the Francofolies festival.
North of the Old Port, south of Sur les Murs street, the Jean-Louis Foulquier stage has welcomed the greatest artists. It pays tribute to the radio man, host and producer Jean-Louis Foulquier, a native of La Rochelle who worked on France Inter before founding the Francofolies.
He also played in several films such as Our Story by Bertrand Blier, Without Fear and Without Reproach by Gérard Jugnot, Ripoux 3 by Claude Zidi or Fallen from a Star by Xavier Deluc. He died on December 10, 2013 in Aigrefeuille-d’Aunis and rests in the cemetery of Montmartre. He received in 1994 the title of Knight of the National Order of Merit.
