“Hey Guys, come on!”

Miranda Colclasure (Mimi Le Meaux)

Miranda Colclasure (Mimi Le Meaux) and Joachim Zand (Mathieu Amalric) take over an abandoned hotel on the island of Aix. They are waiting for the rest of the New Burlesque troupe and Ulysse (Ulysse Klotz). In this place open to the four winds, they will be able to spend beautiful summer days.

Supposed to take place in a hotel on this island of Charente-Maritime in the film, the establishment is actually on the town of Dolus-d’Oléron. This final scene was written by Mathieu Amalric and his authors Marcelo Novais Teles, Raphaëlle Valbrune, and Philippe Di Folcole, on the morning of the shooting. The technical team found this hotel at the last minute. Today, Le Grand Large has been rehabilitated and can welcome tourists in one of the 28 rooms of this 4-star complex directly overlooking a beach.

Tournée is Mathieu Almaric’s fourth feature film after Mange ta soupe, Le stade de Wimbledon and La chose publique.

Le Grand Large

The modern architecture and its immaculate whiteness allow this hotel establishment not to go unnoticed on the island of Oleron, where it is a must-see.

A 4-star hotel, Le Grand Large is, as its name suggests, positioned facing the ocean and offers a breathtaking view of the waves. With several rooms, an indoor pool and a beautiful terrace with privileged access to the beach, it is set in the middle of a preserved natural area. Inaugurated in 1965, and one of the first luxury hotels on the island, Le Grand Large’s architecture is largely inspired by the work of Le Corbusier. It was completely renovated in 2011.
