Mathieu Amalric began his career in 1984 with a role in Les Favoris de la lune. He was discovered by the public in Comment je me suis disputé… (my sex life) by Arnaud Desplechin.

In 2005, he won the César for Best Actor in Kings and Queens. Then came Steven Spielberg’s Munich and Quantum of Solace in the James Bond series.

His career as a director began in 1997 with Mange ta soupe. He directed Tournée in 2010, La chambre bleue in 2014 and Barbara in 2017.
