“- Wow! Too good!

– It’s heaven!

Well, it’s giga-mega huge! I love it!”

Mathilde and her classmates

In Mathilde’s class, it is the effervescence. The school director, Mr. Gomu, announces good news: the students of the CM1 class and those of the CE1 class will go to the Futuroscope for two days.

After packing their suitcases and backpacks, a few days later, they boarded the TGV to the amusement park. They all arrive at the Futuroscope station, a station inaugurated in the year 2000.

Laurent Audouin thus imagines the second adventure of Mathilde in the collection Great! My school is leaving…. After the sea class and before the discovery class, Paris, the snow class, the caving class and London, the author from Pictavia takes the children on a tour of the famous park imagined by the president of the Vienne General Council, René Monory and opened to tourists in 1987.

In addition to cover illustrations, Laurent Audouin has co-created other series. With Fanny Joly, they imagined Les enquêtes de Mirette for Sarbacane editions, declined in an animated series broadcasted in TFOU on TF1, but also Les aventures fantastiques de Sacré-Coeur with Amélie Sarn for the Pictavian publisher Le lézard noir. The latter, managed by Stéphane Duval, is a publisher of architecture books but especially of manga. Among the important authors published by the Poitiers structure, there are Suehiro Maruo, Kazuo Umezo or Minetaro Mochizuki. Of great quality, the mangas of the Black Lizard have won many prizes at the Angoulême comic book festival.

Futuroscope

Inaugurated in 1987, Futuroscope is a theme park based on innovation and new technologies.

Located in the communes of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou and Jaunay-Marigny in the Vienne department, this theme park covers 35 hectares.

With more than 50 million visitors since its opening in 1987, it is one of the most visited parks in France.

Designed by René Monory, then president of the Vienne departmental council, it is currently managed by La compagnie des Alpes.

New technologies are at the heart of the Futuroscope project. Visitors can watch films in 3 or 4D, take part in dynamic cinemas or watch a night show.
