Confolens Festival

Dorothée (Marina Hands) and Nicolas (Julien Doré) are members of two folk dance groups. They are in the middle of a performance at the Confolens Festival when their eyes meet. Immediately, it’s love at first sight. The two young people will then be persuaded to live a perfect love story… which will not be so perfect as that.
But while Dorothée and Nicolas are living a romance, their interpreters also seem to find themselves at odds. The shooting is an opportunity for Julien Doré and Marina Hands to share a piece of the road together. Their story ended three years later, in the greatest discretion, as she had declared herself. Together they were able to live a very, very short love story.
Marina Hands won the award for Best Romantic Actress at the Cabourg Film Festival in 2010 thanks to the feature film.
Confolens Festival
The Confolens Festival, formerly known as the Festival of Popular Arts and Traditions of the World, welcomes each year, during the week of August 15, nearly 450 artists and 300,000 spectators.
Created in 1956, the Confolens Festival was far from being what it is today. Originally, it was a Eucharistic Congress. The opportunity for many Catholics to attend festivities around the life of Christ.
The following year, a folk festival was created, inviting, among others, Breton ringers. 1958 marked the arrival of many troops from all over Western France. But it is only in 1970 that the first international folklore groups were integrated, thus giving all its dimension to the event.
