The scene in the Carrefour Market of Mineurs 27 sees Finnegan Oldfield and Gilles Lellouche’s characters confront each other, under the gaze of Jean-Paul, Stan’s father (Patrick Descamps), as the latter has just done his shopping. A key scene in a seemingly ordinary setting is of paramount importance here. It’s impossible not to think about it when you stop by.
About the script, Tristan Aurouet explained in Première at the time of the film’s release: “I wanted to get to the heart of the issues that are still taboo today. What I find outrageous. The story is completely inspired by a news item that embarrassed everyone, before being covered up. But fortunately one day it came out. I went to choose a subject and a cast, which is not the cast of the neighbor. After Narco I had to find my style and my identity. I wanted to show that I could open the field of possibilities and that finally there are young actors who are extraordinary. An actor who has no experience, lets go a little unconsciously. All of a sudden, there is an emotion, pure, instantaneous, almost naive.“
