“Because she’s with him. He wants me to see her. Under the moonlight. He’ll be waiting.”

Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis)

None of the locations used in the previous two parts of the trilogy were used in the filming ofHalloween Ends. Instead, David Gordon Green and his team chose to invest in the cities of Savanah, Sylviana and Salt Lake City, Georgia and Utah to show the public a whole new side of the fictional town of Haddonfield. The car wreck, where Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell) works and where a memorable massacre takes place, was thus found on the side of Tremont Road, in Savannah.

Michael Myers at the microphone

Played by Nick Castle in the first part, Michael Myers, aka The Shape, is once again played by James Jude Courtney in Halloweend Ends. Already at the center of the previous installments, Halloween and Halloween Kills, the actor confided on his experience in the speciality site Halloween Daily News: “But I think it’s important that The Shape is The Shape with or without the mask. The mask has its own gravitas. It has its own spiritual power, for sure, one hundred percent. But I think honoring, which David chose to do, the fact that the being that is The Shape is still the being that is The Shape. He showed that at the beginning of 2018, as well, when I was in the courtyard. So I think, on the aggregate, it’s David Gordon Green weaving another layer into the mythos of The Shape.

Michael Myers mask

Need a costume idea for Halloween? Become the terrifying Michael Myers with his mask from the Halloween movies.

A legendary mask

If it has evolved a lot, the Michael Myers mask was born in a very curious way. As he was about to shoot the first Halloween in the Los Angeles area, John Carpenter decided to send one of his collaborators to find a suitable mask for the killer.

His partner then returned with a mask of William Shatner in Star Trek. The make-up artists simply painted it white before putting it on Nick Castle’s head. And if the current mask was indeed molded on the face of the new interpreter of the killer, its appearance remains logically very close to that of the original. One mask cost much more money than the very first one, which was made to save as much money as possible.

The Halloween saga has only one film in which Michael Myers does not appear, namely the third installment entitled Halloween: The Blood of the Wizard.
