Angoulême station
Philippe (Jean-Claude Bouillon) is in the middle of a reportage across France to take portraits of unknown people. These peregrinations lead him, for example, to Dijon, where he meets a young student, Stella (Prudence Harrington). Fallen under her charm, the journalist continues his travels, until Angoulême where he meets Fabrice (Fabrice Luchini).
The latter, during a walk on the ramparts of Angoulême, advises him to join her immediately to declare his love for her. The young man immediately took this advice and boarded the first train at Angoulême station to join the Americans.
Tout peut arriver can boast of being Fabrice Luchini’s very first film appearance. A young actor, he already has his characteristic phrasing and tries his hand at verlan for some of his lines. Moreover, it is thanks to his backwards lines that the actor was spotted by Philippe Labro, then director, as he confided to the Charente Libre in 2015: “It was during the opening of a drugstore. He was there to do the ladies’ hair, since that was his job. He seduced me right away, just like in the movie. From the top of his 16 years with his glibness, he quoted me Nietzsche, Baudelaire and Kierkegaard. I asked him his name and he answered that his name was Cebrifa. It was the first time I had ever heard it spoken in slang. It was obvious: he had to be in my film. .
Fabrice Luchini is only 17 years old in the film.
Angoulême Gare SNCF
Inaugurated on September 20, 1852, the Angoulême train station was built the same year the railroad arrived in the city.
The work on the station incorporated part of the former Royal College of the Navy. Napoleon III came for the inauguration on October 10, 1852. Sadly famous for having seen the transit of trains bound for concentration camps during the Second World War, it was also bombed on June 15, 1944 by American planes. The attack caused hundreds of deaths and extensive damage. 1,826,364 travelers passed through in 2019. The Angoulême station is open to freight service.
