A transposition of Sally Wainwright’s British miniseries Unforgiven, The Unforgivable sees Sandra Bullock play a former prisoner in search of her little sister. A role previously considered for Angelina Jolie. It is one of the first films to make use of the facilities at Canadian Motion Picture Park Studios in Burnaby, in the Greater Vancouver Regional District area. Its shooting, which began on February 3, 2020, was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic before resuming in October of the same year.
