Recorded between London and Paris, in the Butley Piory and La Frette studios, The Car contains ten tracks. Preceded by the release of the single There’d Better Be a Mirrorball, it immediately convinced critics and fans. All songs were composed and written by Alex Turner, with contributions from Jamie Cook and Tom Rowley. The combo presented the album on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It was produced by James Ford, one of the band’s regulars.
