Movie Rocky IV Sylvester Stallone (1985)

Rocky IV

Released in the United States on November 27, 1985, Rocky IV sees Sylvester Stallone returning to directing after Rocky III: Eye of the Tiger. Produced again by Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff, the film is a metaphor for the Cold War by pitting the American Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) against the Russian Ivan Drago (Dolph Lungren). Hailed for the virtuosity of his final fight, during which Sylvester Stallone is seriously injured, Rocky IV is severely exhausted by the critics but is acclaimed by the public. In 2020, Sylvester Stallone decides to completely reassemble the feature film, removing certain sequences and adding new ones, which were once left in the editing room. The new version, subtitled Rocky vs. Drago, is released in November 2021 in the United States. With $ 300,473,716 at the global box office, Rocky IV remains the most popular Rocky in the entire Philadelphia left-hander saga.
