    Sixth part of the Rocky saga, Rocky Balboa was released in 2006, 16 years after Rocky V. Marked by Sylvester Stallone’s desire to return to the character’s roots, the film found its audience and established itself as the one of the most popular in the franchise. It is also characterized by the unexpected return of the character in the ring. To play his opponent, Mason Dixon, Sylvester Stallone, here director and screenwriter, wanted Vin Diesel but the latter was forced to decline the proposal because of a too busy schedule. The actor then decided to call on a real boxer, Roy Jones Jr. Rocky Balboa collected $ 155.547.664 million at the global box office.
