Written by Patrick Grandperret, Frédérique Moreau, Céline Sallette and Hande Kodja from an idea by Maurice Pialat, Murderers was released for the first time in France on June 26, 2006. Filmed in the region of La Rochelle, it tells the story of two young women fresh out of a psychiatric hospital, ready to do anything to get a good meal and a bath. The story is largely inspired by a news item. Wishing to bring it to the screen, Maurice Pialat unfortunately did not have the opportunity to complete the project.
