The late fourth installment of the Matrix saga, Matrix Resurrections sees Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity. Hugo Weaving and Laurence Fishburne, the interpreters of Morpheus and Agent Smith, however, are not part of the cast. Morpheus being played here by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Directed by Lana Wachowski solo, the film begins filming under the code name Project Ice Cream in San Francisco in February 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic forces the team to take a hiatus until August 16, 2020, when the production resumes in Berlin, before ending on November 11 of the same year.
