A child is missing on Isla Sorna, the island of Jurassic Park! The parents then call on Alan Grant to try to find him. The first Jurassic Park not to be the direct adaptation of a novel by Michael Crichton, Jurassic Park 3 also marks the departure of Steven Spielberg, here credited as executive producer and replaced at the helm by Joe Johnston. Co-written by Alexander Payne, Peter Buchman and Jim Taylor, this third part, if it uses the musical theme of John Williams, also sees a new composer, Don Davis, in charge of the music. With a budget of 93 million dollars, Jurassic Park 3 collected “only” 368,780,809 dollars at the worldwide box office.
