First studio album of Patti Smith, Horses is also the most popular of her discography. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York and released on December 13, 1975, it includes a punk cover of Van Morrison’s Gloria.

Tom Verlaine of Television and Allen Lanier of Blue Öyster Cult participated in the sessions. It is kept in the Library of Congress.
