The second part of the trilogy started by David Gordon Green in 2018, Halloween Kills also benefits from the writing of the duo formed by the director with Danny McBride. Produced by Blumhouse Productions, the film was to be shot at the same time as the third installment, Halloween Ends, but the Covid-19 pandemic decided otherwise. The creator of the saga, John Carpenter, was involved in the music and is here credited as executive producer.
