Movie Breathless (1960)

Breathless is a French New Wave film directed by Jean-Luc Godard and released in 1960.

Michel Poiccard (Jean-Paul Belmondo) is driving from Marseille to Paris in a stolen car. On the way, he knocks down a gendarme who was trying to fine him. Inspector Vital (Daniel Boulanger) goes after him for murder.

Michel finds Patricia Franchini (Jean Seberg), an American student with whom he is madly in love. He offers to follow her to Rome, as a way of convincing her to sleep with him again. Apparently, that’s all that matters. Michel asks some fundamental questions.
