Telling the story of Blanche (Miou-miou), a mother and wife of a resistance fighter during the Second World War in 1941, Blanche and Marie takes place in the north of France. However, the filming did indeed take place in the region of Angoulême, in Charente. This is Jacques Renard’s fourth feature film. He also co-wrote the screenplay with Sophie Goupil.
