Single from the album of the same name, the twelfth produced by Queen, A Kind of Magic is inspired by a line by Christophe Lambert in Highlander. Written by Roger Taylor, the combo’s drummer, this song was later edited by Freddie Mercury for use on the album. If she is at the top of Queen’s compositions for the film Highlander, she is also audible in the sequel, Highlander : The Quickening. Keyboardist Spike Edney also participated in its recording.
