Warner Bros Studio Tour Harry Potter: Withdraw your money from Gringotts Bank

Movie
On April 6, 2019, the Warner Bros Studio Tour Harry Potter will welcome a new section: the Gringotts Wizard Bank.

Gringotts Bank, the Harry Potter Savings Account

We all remember the scene: the young Harry Potter discovers that he is a wizard and goes shopping at the Chemin de Traverse with the good Hagrid. Harry needs money and Hagrid takes him to the Gringotts Bank, where the young wizard’s parents have opened a small savings account for their son, made up of a large pile of glittering gold coins.

This mythical scene was shot at Australia House, a building under Australian authority that is difficult to visit. To remedy this, the Warner Bros Studio Tour in Leavesden has decided to expand the already colossal Harry Potter marking-of complex. Forbidden Forest, Hogwarts, House of Hagrid, 4 Privet Drive and very soon the famous Gringotts Bank.

This new 1,500 m2 extension will add a few dozen minutes of additional visits to this incredible tour dedicated to the most famous wizard.

The bank but not only

In addition to the bank, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Lestrange family vault where the sword of Gryffindor or the cup of Poufsouffle will be stored. This will be the largest addition to date. It was directed by the team of chief set designer Stuart Craig, construction manager Paul Hayes and chief mechanic Pierre Bohanna, members of the original team on the saga’s film series.

Maybe we can read on the bank doors those lines from J.K. Rowling’s novel?

“Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn,
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.”
