The Witcher: Henry Cavill as Geralt de Riv
In a medieval-fantasy world, Geralt of Riv is a “wizard” in charge of hunting monsters. A literary series created in 1986, The Witcher was adapted for Polish television in 2001, then in a thirteen-episode television series the following year. In 2007, the Warsaw-based CD studio Projekt Red develops in partnership with Atari an RPG video game on the saga that is a great success. Two sequels will follow in 2011 and more recently in 2015.
In December 2019, Netflix will broadcast its program about the adventures of this ruthless monster hunter played by Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Man from UNCLE).
The r/NetflixWitcher twitter account regularly posts information about the locations of the series. Recently, Poland and Hungary have been the focus of attention.
On Instagram, witcherflix also posts rumours about filming in the Canary Islands.
As for Henry Cavill, the actor doesn’t reveal much information about the shooting of the much-anticipated series, but enjoys making his fans wait.
We will have to wait until December 2019 to discover the first images of this brand new show and thus be able to discover the first fanspots.

Summary: Geralt is a witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin. Yet he is no ordinary murderer: his targets are the multifarious monsters and vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. He roams the country seeking assignments, but gradually comes to realise that while some of his quarry are unremittingly vile, vicious grotesques, others are the victims of sin, evil or simple naivety.
