Star Wars IX shooting near London

Star Wars in London
August 1, 2018 marked the start of filming of the ninth episode of the famous Star Wars saga. J.J. Abrams, the director, paid tribute on this day to the actress who died in December 2016, Carrie Fischer. She played the role of Princess Leia since the beginning of the saga.
Bittersweet starting this next chapter without Carrie, but thanks to an extraordinary cast and crew, we are ready to go. Grateful for @rianjohnson and special thanks to George Lucas for creating this incredible world and beginning a story of which we are lucky to be a part. #IX pic.twitter.com/FOfnGwVut5

Even if the fetish actress is deceased, she will still have a role to play in this last episode. The main actors of this generation will also be entitled to new adventures.
The first pictures of the shooting started to be broadcast by The Sun. This one took place near London, Great Britain, in a location kept secret by the production.
The images that can be seen show a gigantic plain, probably the setting for a new planet with its usual dangers, strange creatures and epic battles.
This is not the first time that the cast has been in Great Britain, since the rebel base in Episode VII, also directed by J.J. Abrams, was located at Greenham Common Air Force Base. Built in 1941, it served as a base of operations for the Royal Air Force until its closure in 1992. The base is also known for the all-female camp of women peace protesters that was set up in front of its gates from 1982 to 2000. This group is camped out in front of the doors to protest a NATO plan to install nuclear weapons on the base. The movement, which began with 36 women, was so successful that nearly 30,000 women camped in front of the base, hugged, sang and danced. Would their courage and determination have inspired the film crew for the rebel base?
The cast of this new opus will include John Boyenga, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac of course, but also Matt Smith, the famous interpreter of the eleventh Doctor Who.
However, Star Wars IX will be a real turning point in the history of the most famous of sagas, since, according to the official Star Wars website, it will mark the end of the epic of the famous Skywalker family.
