Great Falls High School – American Pie
Millikan High School serves as the exterior façade of Great Falls High School, while Long Beach Polytechnic High School, 1600 Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach, is used for the interior. American Pie has shaken up the codes but also some of the language. Prior to the release of the film, the term MILF was used to refer to a terrorist organization in the southern Philippines, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. It wasn’t until after the release that MILF took on the meaning of “Mother I Like to F*ck”.

Jim’s House
Jim (Jason Biggs)’s house is probably the most emblematic filming location of the saga. This is where he experiences his first emotions, where his father gives him lots of advice on sex and where he tries an adventure with apple pie. Jim and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) didn’t live that far away. Indeed the house of the latter is actually located at 3925 Cedar Avenue.

House under construction – American Pie 2
On vacation after a year of faculty, Jim (Jason Biggs), Oz (Chris Klein), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Stifler (Seann William Scott) are back together again. They take a little summer job to pay for their vacation and repaint a house. It is inhabited by two young women who are the lust of the five teenagers. In the first and second opus, Casey Affleck, Ben Affleck’s brother, plays a small role, that of Kevin’s brother.

Jim’s University
Jim goes to this university. Actually, it’s the Mary Andrew Clark Memorial House. Built in 1912 at the request of William A. Clark to honour the memory of his mother, the former senator and copper magnate, was keen to build this house to accommodate young women working to live “in joy and comfort at a price every woman can afford”. Operated by the YWCA to house young women workers from 1913 to 1987, the building suffered extensive damage following the Whittier Narrows earthquake in the year of closure. It wasn’t until 1995 that the house again housed tenants, mainly low-income workers.

Summer Camp Concert
Jim wants to meet Michelle at her summer camp. He does not hesitate to go on stage, dressed very short, to sing a song when he is confused with a real singer. In addition to her role as Michelle, Alyson Hannigan is best known for playing Willow in Buffy and Lily in How I Met Your Mother. And we all remember his cult line in that show, “This one time, at Band Camp”.

Wedding venue – American Wedding
Jim and Michelle are getting married! For the ceremony, they chose the splendid Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay. Perched on top of a cliff, the five-star hotel is perfect for such a ceremony. The director of the feature film, Jesse Dylan, is none other than Bob Dylan’s son. In addition to this film, he was in charge of the clip for Barack Obama’s American presidential campaign, with Scarlett Johansson and Sarah Wright as cast members.

Club of Chicago
Stifler takes the gang to a club in Chicago that turns out to be a gay bar. Cole’s opened in 1908 in the Pacific Electric building. According to GQ Magazine, it is one of the 25 best bars in America. The establishment boasts to be at the origin of the “French Dip Sandwich” and has opened a second sign at the Los Angeles airport. In addition to American Pie, the Mad Men cameras, A Lot Like Love and People like us have landed here.

Gymnasium – American Reunion
The small alumni reunion party is held in the gym at Newton High School. Far away from California, the filming of American Reunion went into exile in Georgia. Established in 1949, the high school has about 2,000 students. For the dance scene performed by Oz, the sequence required two months of training for a few seconds of appearance.
