Robert Kanigher was an American comic book writer born in 1915 and died in 2002.

Robert Kanigher won the New York Times best short story contest in 1932, which launched his writing career.

He was the writer of Wonder Woman from 1946. He was the co-creator of Julius Schwartz the New Flash with Carmine Infantino and Joe Kubert. With the latter, he invented the character of Sgt Rock.

He is a true creator of comic book heroes. He also created Poison Ivy, Black Canary, Metal Men, El Diablo and Wonder Girl.
