Artist Robert Enrico

Fantrippers

Robert Enrico was a French screenwriter and director, born in 1913 and died in 2001.

 

After studying at IDHEC, he made his first short film in 1961 (which won the Palme d’Or for short films at the Cannes Film Festival in 1962 and the Oscar for best short film in 1964). His first feature film, La belle vie, won the Prix Jean-Vigo. Then came Les grandes gueules, Les aventuriers and Les caïds.
His greatest success was Le vieux fusil, which won the César for best film in 1975.
He has chaired the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques and the Society of Film Directors.
