Artist Philip Chevron

Philip Chevron was an Irish guitarist, songwriter and singer born in 1957 and died in 2013.

Philip Chevron worked with Shane MacGowan in record shops. After the Pogues’ first album in 1984, he replaced Jem Finer on paternity leave.

He became an official member of the Pogues the following year when they recorded Rum, Sodomy and the Lash.
