Michel Piccoli is a French actor born in Paris in 1925 and died in 2020 in Saint-Philibert-sur-Risle.

Michel Piccoli studied acting at the Cours Simon and with Andrée Bauer-Théraud.

In 1945, Louis Daquin entrusted him with a role in his film Le point du jour. He plays on the theater for the companies Renaud-Barrault and Grenier-Hussot.

He reveals himself to the public thanks to the film Le mépris by Jean-Luc Godard. He then turned with the greatest French and international filmmakers.

He received the award for Best Actor in Cannes for his role in Le saut dans le vide by Marco Bellocchio and the Silver Bear in 1982 for Une étrange affaire.
