Catherine Ringer met Fred Chichin in 1979. They created the group Sprats. They changed their name the following year to Les Rita Mitsouko (Rita for the stripper Rita Lenoir, Mitsouko for the name of Guerlain’s perfume).
The public discovered them with Marcia Baïla in 1985. They had one hit after another: Les histoires d’A., Andy, Le petit train, Y’a d’la haine…
They published 12 albums together before Fred Chichin died in 2007.
Catherine Ringer continues to perform their songs on stage ever since.
