Jean-David Morvan is a French comic book writer born in Reims in 1969.

It is by the fanzinat that Jean-David Morvan enters the world of the comic strip. With Hors gabarit, he met Sylvain Savoia and Yann Le Gall.

He studied at the Saint-Luc school in Brussels to learn drawing, but realized that being a scriptwriter would be his future.

His first stories are published by Zenda and Glénat. He imagines Zorn & Dina, Nomad and HK.
He then published Troll with Sfar and Boiscommun, then Sillage with Buchet from 1998.

Dozens of scenarios later, he launched the series Iréna et Simone with Evra and Tréfouël, then Madeleine résistante with Riffaud and Bertail (Goscinny prize 2022).
