In 1890, he wrote his first play, Ibsen’s Ghost, followed by the novel The Little Minister, then the plays The Admirable Crichton and Quality Street.
He imagined Peter Pan in a first novel The Little White Bird and decided to develop it on the stage Peter Pan, or the boy who wouldn’t grow up in 1904. The novel version was published seven years later.
