    It is in 1941 that Albert Uderzo enters the world of publishing comics. He works for the SPE. He performs tasks of lettering, image retouching and calibration of text.

    He illustrates his first story, Le corbeau et le renard, the same year.

    After the Second World War, he imagines Clopinard and Arys Buck.

    He met Jean-Michel Charrier with whom he created Belloy and Tanguy et Laverdure. But the meeting that changed his life was with René Goscinny. Together, they created Jehan Pisolet, Oumpah-Pah, and especially Asterix in 1959. It is immediately a success winning the whole world.
