Alan Moore grew up in a poor working class area of Northampton. From an early age, he read comics in the library.
After being expelled from school, he had to look for work to live. His wife was pregnant and he left his administrative job to try his hand at drawing. He published strips for newspapers.
In 1980, he wrote a script entitled L’héritage noir for 2000 AD. This was the beginning of his career as a scriptwriter.
He then worked on Alan Davis: Captain Britain, but also Night Raven.
