Au Chat Noir

It is in this bar, regularly programming concerts but also poetry, that the first episodes were shot and notably the 19th, Bref. My buddy got dumped. The place is visible on many occasions: “Je” (Kyan Khojandi) gives his first concert there (Episode 34 Bref. I did a concert); arrives too late for his appointment with “the girl” (Episode 20 Bref. I was 47 minutes late); dreams of killing the waiter (Arnaud Lechien); observes Katie (Blanche Gardin) and Ben (Mikaël Alhawi) getting into trouble, etc.

Sainte-Périne Park

This park is the setting for the touching episode 47 Bref. I am old during which “I” meets the old lady (Françoise Bertin) for a poignant testimony about the solitude of the elderly. Only 40,000 m2 of the 59,400 m2 of this green space are open to the public. The others are reserved for Sainte-Périne Hospital and the Chardon-Lagache retirement home.

New York to Paris, it’s possible! In episode 75 Bref. I broke everythingIn the middle of the night, “I” gets out of a yellow cab with the same license plate as the Ghostbusters car, to find Marla (Bérengère Krief). For the needs of the shooting, the production had totally transformed this crossroads by modifying the signage, adding smoke on the spot and buildings in post-production!

Sexodrome

It is in this sex shop that “this girl” (Alice David), the girlfriend of “I”, works. We discover the sets in episode 48 Bref. My girlfriend works in a sex shop. The scenes were shot in the basement while the heroine’s apartment was not far away, on the same street.

Palladium Bus

Named after the mythical “Palladium” in London, the Palladium Bus has been an institution of Parisian nights since 1965. The famous discotheque has been used as a backdrop on many occasions. The bar, visible in the second half of the season, had been set up upstairs. “I” realizes that Charles (Jonathan Cohen) is not his exclusive friend, gets angry because Eric Judor moves his lips while he talks (episode 53 Bref. Some people get on my nerves), we see Baptiste introducing his parents to his girlfriend too quickly (episode 49 Bref. Baptiste is super creepy), etc. The entrance was used as a hotel lobby for episode 59 Bref. My father wants to be young and a ring was even built in the first floor room for episode 44, Bref. I was mugged.

Bowling de Paris Front de Seine

It is in this bowling alley with 20 lanes that “I”, Kheiron and his friends play in episode 70, Bref. I made a mistake. Each with more or less ease depending on the weight of guilt symbolized by the bowling ball. A scene is also shot there in episode 53, Bref. Some people get on my nerves.

Pathé Wepler Cinema

If the scenes in the cinema were shot at the Capitole in Suresnes for the first episodes and notably the 31 Bref. I went to the movies with this girlThe team then set up its cameras at the Pathé Wepler from episode 41. Inaugurated in 1956, this cinema has 12 screens, the largest of which has a capacity of 2,176 seats.

Playground Duperré

As he talks about his youth in episode 56, Bref. I grew up in the 90’sI” reproduces the lines of The City of Fear on this colorful playground. It is very close to L’étoile d’Or (30 rue Pierre-Fontaine), the macaroon store that is always closed when “I” and his girlfriend come there in episode 58 Bref. It was his favorite song. This deliciously retro confectionery is well worth the detour and its products are excellent.

Carrefour rue Duroc – rue du Général-Bertrand

The meeting of “I” and the policewoman (Julia Duchaussoy), at the beginning of episode 18 Bref. I slept with a copThis is the place to be at the corner of rue Duroc and rue du Général-Bertrand, just in front of the mailbox on the wall of the headquarters of the Valentin Haüy association for the blind and visually impaired. By shooting this very symmetrical shot, the directors wanted to pay homage to the film Run, Lola, Run!

Square Saint-Lambert

Entitled simply Bref. the 82nd and last episode of the series takes place entirely in this square for a superb conclusion. Located on the site of former gas factories in Vaugirard, this park served as a take-off point in 1870 for Gaston Tissandier to escape the siege of Paris aboard the balloon Le Céleste, the ancestor of the hot air balloon. The scientist devoted a large part of his life to aircraft to the point that a balloon adorns his grave, located in the Père-Lachaise cemetery.
