Renamed Monk’s Cafe, Tom’s Restaurant is a recurring location on Seinfeld. Even today, photos of the actors adorn the walls while fans from all over the world continue to come and sit at the same tables as the characters. The establishment plays it, displaying numerous references to the series.

The other characters also live in the neighbourhood. Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) at 321 W 90th St. and George Costanza (Jason Alexander) at 129 W 81 St.

In the penultimate episode of the series, Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) receives a call informing him of the end of the 12-year strike at his employer, H&H Bagels. The original store was located at 2239 Broadway but closed in 2012.
