Trump and the wall « Game of Thrones » style, he gets it all wrong

Wanting to build a wall along the border with Mexico, Donald Trump made a clumsy reference to one of the leading HBO series, Game of Thrones.

Donald Trump thinks he’s being witty in his reference to the Game of Thrones wall

Campaign poster, tweets and other allusions; the American President shows himself in a photomontage with the Game of Thrones colors to announce the upcoming construction of his Mexican border wall.

Like the CEO of IOI, Nolan Sorrento in Ready Player One, the billionaire should have mingled with some pop culture fans before launching this totally flopped publicity campaign.

Indeed, spoiler alert, at the end of the last season of Game of Thrones, the famous wall separating

The Seven Kingdoms and the wild and frozen lands beyond, was entirely destroyed.  The Night King, accompanied by his dragon Viserion took on the job of reducing the gigantic barrier to smithereens.  Its destruction thus allowed the Army of the Dead to cross onto the continent.

Twitter “serving” the American President

Numerous tweetos dutifully reminded the President of these facts.

In addition to these baffled references, Donald Trump was called to order by HBO for using a registered trademark for personal purposes without advising the channel, owner of the rights, for the second time in his mandate.  A campaign that would have been better off walled in silence.

So, the proof that no wall will prevent you from tranquilly following in the footsteps of your favorite series.  Northern Ireland, Croatia or Spain, Westeros and Essos are just waiting for you.
