Three Marvel series symbolic of New York cancelled on Netflix

The series devoted to Daredevil superheroes have just been cancelled by the Netflix streaming service.

Netflix and Marvel, cancel in series

Luke Cage, Iron Fist and now Daredevil. Three series about New York heroes from the Marvel universe have been cancelled by Netflix. The series official Tweeter has actually just revealed a very emotional photo to fans

Broadcast since 2015, the Daredevil series, not having lost anything in substance will not be renewed for a fourth season. The reason, relations between Marvel and Netflix are not at their best, but also the number of viewers is not up to expectations for the third season.

Daredevil did, however, take us to all corners of New York, well beyond his preferred jurisdiction. Although the hero might be called the Demon from Hell’s Kitchen, very few places from this area of the big Apple appeared in the series as we explain in our Guide to New York – 1000 cult locations in movies, series, music, comics, novels. Josie’s bar is located in Brooklyn, as is the official office of the two lawyer friends and even the residence of Hell’s Kitchen crime boss Wilson Fisk, was filmed in Chelsea.

For the two other Marvel series aired on Netflix, The Punisher and Jessica Jones, nothing is definite yet. The series dedicated to Frank Castle is already being filmed for a second season, but nothing leads us to believe that the Alias Investigations detective will be back for a third season on Netflix.

The official series Tweeter foreshadows something else. Daredevil audiences are indeed the best of the Marvel series. Maybe the House of Ideas is planning another broadcast channel for this one.
