1. Saint-Etienne du Mont Church
It is on the steps at the foot of the north portal of the church of Saint-Etienne du Mont, on the side of the Place de l’Abbé-Basset, that, every evening, Gil Pender (Owen Wilson) waits for his strange friends from another time. Very heterogeneous, this church mixes Gothic, classical and Renaissance decoration. A marriage that can be explained by the very high construction time, since it lasted between 1492 and 1626. Sculptures and statues were not added until the 19th century.

2. Bistro Paul
During another night stroll in Paris, Gil (Owen Wilson) and Adriana (Marion Cotillard) sit on the terrace of the bistro Paul. It was built at the very beginning of the 20th century and has preserved the architecture of the time. After being sold several times, the establishment is a key figure in the Parisian landscape.

3. Palace Le Bristol
After a visit to Monet’s gardens in Giverny, Gil and Inez (Rachel McAdams) meet her parents at the Hotel Bristol. During their entire stay in Paris, they occupy the 320m2 panoramic suite. With 188 rooms, this palace has the largest private garden in Paris, a swimming pool overlooking Paris and the Sacré-Coeur, a spa, a three-star Epicure gourmet restaurant, a brasserie, a bar and even its own bakery.

4. Fitzgerald’s party
The crazy Fitzgerald dance party was filmed at the Fairground Arts Museum and Gil participated in it on his third magical night. This museum reconstructs a decor of rides of yesteryear, whose attractions can be used by visitors. Like his main character, Woody Allen is also a lover of Paris, he even declared that he would live there if his home was not in New York.

5. Le Grand Véfour
Gil, Inez (Rachel McAdams) and her parents are having lunch at a table in this 18th century establishment, while discussing a typically French subject: politics. This is the second time Rachel McAdams and Owen Wilson have played a couple of lovers after Wedding Crashers, released in 2005. Opened in 1784 first as a café, in 1820 it became one of the very first gastronomic restaurants in Paris.

6. Gertrude Stein’s apartment
During his second night of magic, Gil is taken to the poet, writer and playwright Gertrude Stein. Arriving in Paris in 1904 to join her brother, the American feminist quickly became interested in the artistic effervescence of the City of Light. His apartment was known as one of the places where artists and intellectuals from all over the world met every Saturday. This is the real address where Gertrude Stein and her partner Alice B. lived. Toklas.

7. Shakespeare & Company
Now almost a Parisian, Gil strolls through the famous English-speaking bookstore in the 5th arrondissement. It is even said that Owen Wilson, Gil’s interpreter, is a regular visitor to this place during his stays in the capital.

8. Duluc Agency
At Duluc Detective, a real private detective agency, Inez’s father hires someone to follow Gil. Established on this site since 1945, the agency was founded in 1913. For the spy scene in the car, Gad Elmaleh’s only instruction was to act according to his vision of a detective undercover. Appreciating the actor enormously, Woody Allen decided to trust him completely and to let him go free.

9. Musée de l’Orangerie
At the Musée de l’Orangerie, Gil and Inez enjoy another enlightened visit alongside Paul (Michael Sheen) on the occasion of an exhibition devoted to Monet. Built in 1852, the building was originally a winter storage shed for the orange trees in the Tuileries garden. Transformed into a museum in 1927, Claude Monet installed his wall ensemble of Water Lilies there, following a proposal by Georges Clémenceau. Monet paid for the interior fittings himself and donated his work to France.

10. Jean-XXIII Square
In the Jean-XXIII square, Gil has the Rodin museum guide (Carla Bruni-Sarkozy) translate Adriana’s memoirs. He then discovers that the muse is in love with him and he will try to seduce her that very night. This park has an area of 10,797 m2. Funnily enough, the ex-First Lady of France was paid an extra fee of €150 a day for the scenes she shot while her husband was still President of the Republic.
