The Sopranos in New York, a must-see series

The mafia-ridden, family-oriented and at the same time terrifying New York is what the Soprano series brings to the world’s television landscape. This panorama is shown nowhere else, except in the New York guide of the 1000 cult places of films, series, music, comics and novels.

Averna Social Club

Filmed on numerous occasions, this bar whose real name is the Mulberry Street Bar is the headquarters of the Brooklyn mafia first led by Carmine Lupertazzi (Tony Lip). The respected and measured clan leader dies of a heart attack. He is then replaced by Johnny “Sack” Sacramoni (Vincent Curatola), much more impulsive and under whose authority relations with New Jersey’s neighbours deteriorate. As for Bada Bing, the headquarters of Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), it really is a strip club, his real name being the Satin Dolls (NJ 17, Lodi, New Jersey). His house is a little further on, 14 Aspen Dr North in Caldwell.
