Janel Parrish say "yes" in Jurassic Park
Indeed the actress went all out choosing Kualoa Ranch for her wedding, the celebrated setting for Jurassic Park and its offshoot Jurassic World. Isla Nublar, the island home to dinosaurs, is in reality the Hawaiian Island of Oahu.
The ranch is in the splendid valley sacred to the Hawaiians from the 13th to the 18th centuries. In 1850, a doctor by the name of Dr. Gerrit P. Judd bought several acres of these sacred lands. To thank him for his work in translating medical journals, the king Kamehameha – who inspired Akira Toriyama to name a special technique in the move Dragon Ball - sold him some extra acres. Today, Kualoa Ranch stretches over nearly 4000 acres.
In 1941 the United States used these lands to set up an aerodrome, today covered over.
And yet the location almost never appeared in Jurassic Park. In 1992, the film crew had planned to shoot the outside scenes on the island of Kauai. A surprise set back due to the hurricane Iniki, forced the crew to set up on the island of Oahu, where the famous ranch is located, setting for the high-society nuptials.
