Brooklyn Historical Society
If you want to meet the Dark Army, you’ve come to the right place! Not sure though that you’ll find a hacker in this magnificent historical building erected in 1881 and home to several exhibitions on the history of Brooklyn.
At the beginning of season 1, the company where Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) works along with his childhood friend Angela Moss (Portia Doubleday) is composed of several buildings. The inside is that of the hotel Trump SoHo while the exterior is that of the building just across from the Socony-Mobil Building, a beautiful 42-floor high-rise built in 1956. The metal facade is incredible.
Elliot Alderson’s apartment
It’s in this apartment that Elliot works wonders with his computer, but also where he takes drugs and has a liaison with Shayla (Frankie Shaw), his dealer.
Fernando Vera (Elliot Villar) brings Elliot here with the intention of executing him. But there is an incredible turnaround in the situation… For your information this creek was for a long time one of the most polluted in the United States due to a lot of industrial waste. Since, a lot has been done to clean it up.
Parking spot under Nick Walker’s “Love Vandal”
After having spent two days in his car, Elliot wakes up just under the street-art work of Nick Walker called “Love Vandal”. His thinking is fuzzy but he does have the impression that he’s done something potentially very damaging. For street-art fans, Nick Walker is a formidable master.
At the beginning of season 2, we get to know some of Elliot’s routine habits. One of them is to meet his friend Leon (Joey Badass) every day at the Paphos diner. This establishment is actually called the Extreme Junction Diner and the facade was repainted for the filming.
Cadman Plaza Park
Elliot challenges his father to a chess game every day on one of the tables in this nice park. It houses the Brooklyn Memorial commemorating World War II. The great urban planner Robert Moses (1888-1981), whose vision revolutionized the city, wanted every district of New York to have a monument commemorating the victims of the 20th century’s Second World conflict. His two sculptures “Victory” and “Family” were the tallest (7.3m) in New York at the time of the Park’s inauguration in 1951.
Marion Hopkinson Park
Elliot and his friend Leon go daily to the basketball courts in this park named after two American patriots.
This promenade along the seafront, just near Luna Park is the setting for the conversation between Elliot and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) in one of the greatest moments of the series.
Queens County Criminal Court
