Ghostbusters 3: New York to Calgary

It’s official, the Ghostbusters 3 cameras will be in Calgary for a fortnight to film the new adventures of our favourite ghost hunters.

Jason Reitman, the son of Ivan Reitman, the director of the first two parts, will be in charge of this third opus. Announced a few months ago by one of the original actors, Dan Aykroyd, the film will be a direct sequel to Ghostbusters 2 and will not take into account the all-female reboot released in 2016.

For the moment, very little information about the feature film is available, but a mysterious video and a working title “Rust City” are enough for fans to look forward to this brand new event film.

2019 marks the 35th anniversary of the original Ghostbusters, a film that made the fire station at 14 Moore Street in New York City famous, as we discuss in our New York guide to the 1,000 cult locations of films, series, music, comics and novels, and a song that has become as cult as the film itself.
