“- Fools. Bureaucrats fools . They don’t know what they’ve got there.

– Well, I know what I’ve got here.”

Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen)

After an eventful Ark of the Covenant opening ritual, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and Marcus Brody (Denholm Elliott) are confronted by secret service agents they met earlier in the adventure.

The two scientists are unhappy, the agents won’t let them examine the precious relic. They assure them that it is in very good hands. The best.

That’s not enough to satisfy the archaeologist, who leaves the office in a rage and hurtles down the stairs, leaving Marion (Karen Allen) stunned.

She nevertheless manages to contain him and invites him, in the middle of the stairs, to go and have a drink.

San Francisco City Hall

Built in 1915, San Francisco City Hall is a city hall like no other. Unusual wedding, horrible murder, feature film set, the list goes on and on.

Built on the ruins of the first town hall destroyed by an earthquake in 1906, the current town hall has something to impress.

Covering an area of 46,000 m2 and spread over two blocks, the building is known for its dome imitating that of the Val-de-Grâce in Paris, while the interior structure of the dome follows the codes of the Hôtel des Invalides in the French capital.

Its dome, the fifth largest in the world, even overlooks that of the U.S. Capitol.

7,035 tons of steel were needed to manufacture the building and the marble used for the various decorations was imported from Alabama, Colorado, Vermont and Italy.

The remains of U.S. President William G. Harding were deposited at San Francisco City Hall after his death in 1923, Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe were married there in 1954 and Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk were murdered within these walls in 1978.
