University of Colorado
Never before had a series exploited so many locations in Alberta before The Last of Us. The Last of Us is a blockbuster by HBO and the two showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the latter being the creator of the video game of which the series is an adaptation.
A chaotic faculty
Students and faculty from the institute were able to appreciate the work of The Last of Us production team. When this one takes place, the campus walkways are still covered with snow. However, the scenario of the episode takes place in autumn. HBO then decided to release funds to melt the snow. Afterwards, debris is deposited and the buildings that appear on the screen are modified. The University of Colorado’s team mascot logo is also displayed at the entrance to the campus.
Fatal course
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are filmed at several locations on campus. In some shots, the horse they ride is actually an automaton without legs. Fans were quick to point out that this ploy was a bit noticeable when the animal was walking. A way for producers to limit the use of real animals.
The Last of Us is the second HBO series in which Gabriel Luna, the interpreter of Tommy Miller, appears after having played in True Detective.
